ARE YOU LISTENING?

The buzz word at NCCF is "CARE GROUPS!" We've seen it in printed promotionals, live announcements, video commercials, and testimonials from both Care Group members and hosts. It seems everybody is talking about Care Groups around New Creation. So, I want to know-- What have you heard, what are you hearing, and have you caught the excitement yet?
Speaking of excitement-- Be the first person to send an email to Minister Orlando Williams telling him the title of this current blog "Are You Listening," and you'll get a little gift-- courtesy of the Care Group Team. Minister Orlando's email is owilliams@nccf-sa.org. Are you listening?

IT'S OFFICIAL - CARE GROUPS ARE ON THEIR WAY!

It's Official! On Sunday, April 18th, the first wave of our Care Groups set out on an endearing mission to Meet You Where You Are, Reference Where You've Been, and Give You Hope for Where You are Going.

We intentionally started small, only 14 Care Groups this first wave, in order to be certain that not only the model we developed is the optimum one for our NCCF family, but to also ensure that what we've developed will meet the everyone's needs.

Those selected as our first group of Care Group Hosts completed an intense, but exciting and joyful, training and preparation program over three consecutive Saturday's, and are ready at the helm (with the Bishop's full blessings) to take the first group of Care Group members into a deeper level of care and relationship both within the body at NCCF and throughout the surrounding communities at large. Our first wave of Care Group Hosts are:

  • J. Anthony & Rhonda Brown (with a focus on Parents and Children)

  • Durell & LaTasha Lee (with a focus on Young Married and Young Engaged Couples)

  • Cedrick & Rhonda Watson (with a focus on Family)

  • Kimberlee King

  • Kahala Crayton

  • LaTronda Darnell

  • Obi Chukwumak

  • Stacie Stuart

  • Hope Williams (with a focus on Health and Fitness)

  • Pricilla Williams

  • Sherry Anderson (with a focus on Health)

  • Renee McCary-Holland

  • Linda Brown (with a focus on Fun and Games)

  • Barbara Kindred (with a focus on cancer SURVIVORS and Family and Friends of SURVIVORS)

Training for the next wave of Care Group Hosts will begin next month. Those sessions will be conducted between Sunday morning services, and we're anticipating far more people interested than in the first wave. So if you're interested, listen out for start dates and other important information.

Now, having brought you up-to-date on where we are; what do you think about Care Groups, what's your perception, and what questions can I answer for you? Let me hear from you-- "Holla back at Me."

WELCOME TO THE CARE GROUP BLOG

WHAT ARE CARE GROUPS? Care Groups are environments where New Creation Christian Fellowship members and non-members gather with neighbors, friends, and others with like interests or experiences to talk about life and God's principles for living.

In the weeks to come we will expand on this topic as well as others such as "WHY CARE GROUPS?" and "THE BENEFITS OF BEING INVOLVED IN A CARE GROUP."

We will also keep you informed on our progress leading up to our exciting kick-off on April 18th, and since this is a blog site we certainly want to here your views to our stimulating Care Group topics of discussion as well as your feedback and suggestions as to how we can make our Care Groups even better.
